Meet the team

Lois Claxton

JIB standard electrician

In 2004 I surprised my friends and family by leaving my degree course in architecture to become an electrician’s apprentice. I knew I wanted a career that meant different working environments, meeting new people and getting to work with my hands - not spending hours at a computer. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I was lucky that my four year apprenticeship gave me experience in both domestic and commercial electrical installations and which meant when I qualified I was able to set up LC Electrical Ltd.

I really enjoy that my job has such variety - I have worked on a summer house in Scotland and on St Paul’s Church, Shadwell, in London. I have a young family and although I am originally from Lincoln I love living in Sheffield. I have a great relationship with my customers as we will quite often share common interests, having the Peak District on our doorstep.

I met Lois whilst working on a factory renovation together. Having recently moved back to South Yorkshire from London I was turning my hand to all sorts of skills and testing which route I should take. Training with Lois and LC Electrical felt like the right opportunity at the right time.

I have been working with Lois for over two years now and I have really enjoyed the benefits from working with someone who has such a great reputation. The most important thing that I have learnt is problem solving. We always do what we can to find the best solution if even if it isn't the easiest option.

We make a great team, which means work is carried out quickly and professionally, by happy people!
